A neuromodulator (wrinkle relaxer or “tox”) is injected with a tiny needle into the muscle below the skin that is responsible for causing wrinkles. These injections are a short-term solution to erase stubborn lines and wrinkles, giving you a refreshed look. When started early enough, deeper, long-term wrinkles can be prevented. Once wrinkles are present at rest, they are known as “static lines,” and may need more than neuromodulators for correction. Our office currently uses Xeomin and Dysport as our neuromodulators of choice, although we will always discuss the best option for you! We will also be introducing Daxxify in the near future (the newest neuromodulator with the longest duration of action.) Stay tuned for more details!

Results from neuromodulators usually last 3-4 months, and target areas such as frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet, bunny lines, and gummy smiles. Recommended dosage for upper face is 30-75 units of Botox (or equivalent), but individual needs vary greatly. Treatment times are 45 min for new clients, 30 minutes for established clients. Lip Flip:

Heard all of the rage about the “lip flip”? It’s also accomplished with neuromodulators. A small amount of “tox” is injected into your upper and/or your lower lip, relaxing the muscle around your mouth. This allows the lip to “flip” out slightly more, allowing more of the pink of your lip to show. This results in a fuller look for a short-term sweet pout without dermal filler. Many clients like to use a lip flip to “try on” a slightly enhanced pout before getting lip filler. 

As we age, we lose facial fat pads and youthful bone structure, causing our facial structure to change. In combination with loss of collagen and elastin, which begins in our twenties, these structural changes cause overall laxity and a look of tiredness.

Dermal fillers are used to achieve a youthful appearance by restoring lost volume in cheeks, chin, naso-labial folds, lips and other areas. Our goal is for you to age gracefully without appearing “plastic."  This is accomplished with the use of hyaluronic acid fillers (injectable gels) in appropriate areas.

In select clients, or in certain areas of the face, we recommend using a filler such as Radiesse or Sculptra that will build collagen over time.

Bruising is very common with filler placement, due to the nature of the procedure and the vast number of tiny blood vessels covering your face.  For this reason, we recommend that you plan ahead when scheduling your filler appointments!

The VI Peel is a skin-resurfacing chemical peel that increases cellular turnover to reveal smoother and more radiant skin. These Chemical Peels are an essential tool for maturing skin as they stimulate collagen production and treat hyperpigmentation and other telltale signs of aging. As a medium grade peel, this treatment penetrates into the dermis of the skin with very little discomfort. You can expect to peel typically on days 3-7, although some people find that they don’t actively peel every time. Note that the peel is still doing its job even if you don’t shed a layer of skin!  

VI peels can be used to treat the face or targeted areas of the body, and are best done in a series of 3-6 peels, four to six weeks apart. Different VI Peel formulas are used to treat acne, fine lines, wrinkles, age and sun spots, melasma, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, and enlarged pores. They are safe for all skin types and for Fitzpatrick I-VI. Your specific peel will be chosen at the time of your consultation, and the application process takes 45 minutes. 

WiQo BioRevitalization, or our “Vibrance Revival” treatment, is an advanced chemical peel that combines a special serum and a patented application technique that digs deep down into the sub-dermal layers to build collagen and completely revitalize skin for an all-over glow. Think facelift in a bottle! 

WiQo (also known as PRXT-33) will lift and tighten skin, in addition to treating uneven skin tone and texture, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, other depressed scarring, stretch marks, and enlarged pores. On average, most patients have 4 consecutive treatments spaced 7-10 days apart, and only require annual treatments to maintain results. This treatment takes around 40 minutes. It can also be combined with microneedling for enhanced effects, and can be used on the neck, jaw, upper chest, abdomen, and hands for an additional fee.

Polydioxanone (PDO) threads come in two basic categories: smooth PDO threads and lifting PDO threads.  Smooth threads are inserted after the skin is numbed with topical numbing cream.  They can be placed in small areas of laxity such as marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and the area under the chin.  They also can be used to improve texture from acne scarring. The threads give some instant lift and structure, and dissolve over time to build collagen and elastin. Smooth PDO threads are best performed in a series of three to four treatments, 4-6 weeks apart.   

Lifting PDO threads are inserted and anchored into specific layers of the skin. They instantly lift and tighten loose and sagging skin, resulting in an immediate, visible lift.  They are commonly used for brows, cheeks, jawline, jowls, and neck.
